Gifted traditionally refers to someone who has an IQ over 130. This is about 2% of the population. Highly Gifted (HG) traditionally refers to someone with an IQ over 145. Profoundly Gifted (PG) traditionally refers to someone with an IQ over 160. However, due to score and testing limitations, many psychologists and organizations have started to combine those with scores over 145 into a lump HG/PG category. This is about .15% of the population.
Neurodiverse refers to someone whose brain functions “differently.” This includes, but is not limited to, those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, OCD, or Anxiety.
Twice-Exceptional (2E) refers to someone who is both gifted and neurodiverse.

No, we do not require testing. However, testing can help families better understand how their student learns and what they may need help or acceleration in. It also helps us build an individualized education plan for your student.

We require an initial free virtual meeting with the family to understand each student’s needs and what the family is looking for. After the meeting, students will attend a free session to make sure it is the right fit for everyone. The last step of the process is a follow-up meeting to discuss how the trial session went and get everything set up to start!

Students will need a device that has internet access, a camera, a microphone, and access to Zoom. Many students prefer headphones with a built in microphone but these are not required.

At this time, we do not have a set location for in-person classes. We currently intend to use sites around the city like parks, libraries, museums, and other locations to compliment learning and take advantage of all that Louisville offers.

Classes and 1-to-1 sessions are booked by the semester and payment can be made monthly or full payment up front. Tuition amounts may vary based on how many classes, sessions, or students you are enrolling. Billing and tuition will be discussed as part of the initial meeting.

We do not offer refunds for missed classes. However, we do offer make-up sessions for 1-to-1 lessons. Make-up sessions will be covered in our initial meeting in more detail.

As a small business, we want to make sure our learners and families are happy but we need to think of our bottom line too. If you are unhappy after 2 sessions or classes, we will refund 90% of tuition. After 2 sessions, refunds will only be for extreme circumstances.
